It is not the intent of this rule to prohibit free speech. As free-thinking beings, all are welcome to voice their opinions as individuals under the laws of Canada, Provinces of Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Price Edward island, New FoundLand & Labrador and Territory of Nunavut. 

 However, all club communications must be approved by the Executive Committee. No one may speak for the organization as a whole other than the Commanding Officer (CO), Executive Officer (XO), Second Officer (SO) or Third Officer (TO). At times, an approved designee may be appointed by the Executive Committee to speak for the USS Magellan. Telephone calls, letters, internet communications, or any other communication must be handled by the Executive Committee. This includes recruiting materials, correspondence with other Star Trek clubs, the media, or any organization. Anyone violating this rule may face disciplinary action.
